Three reasons to choose WCES
Wilson Canadian School is an English school open to children and adults, including after-school programs certified by Ashiya City.
We offer personalized learning, including private lessons and preparation for the Eiken and TOEIC exams.
The company was founded by the mother of two children with the desire to develop the skills of Japanese children to be successful on the world stage.
Through the precious time spent in childhood, we foster the foundation for children to become international people who can use English naturally.

Three reasons to choose WCES
⏰
① Overwhelming English exposure time with up to 6 days a week
We ensure that students have the time to be exposed to English, something that is often lacking in Japanese school education alone. An environment where students "spend time in English" rather than "study English."
⚖️
② Value the Japanese language
Balanced learning
We not only focus on learning English, but also on developing your Japanese language skills. We support you in creating a learning environment that provides the optimal balance between English and Japanese.
🏫
3. "Ashiya City Certified"
After School
We provide high-quality education with the reliability and peace of mind recognized by the city. Opening hours can be extended up to 7:00 PM.
🎤
④Speech and expression skills
Developing self-esteem
Rather than just learning English, we cultivate the ability to express yourself in English. The speech contest will help you gain confidence in speaking in front of others. Our representative has experience giving a speech at the Kansai Expo.

⑤For children and adults
Private lessons available from morning to night
We offer a wide range of services, from after-school care for children to business English for adults, and exam preparation for students, including the TOEIC test. You can make effective use of your morning and evening time.

⑥Prices that make it easy to continue attending
Consistency is essential until children can express themselves in English. That's why we have set affordable prices. In addition, children living in Ashiya City receive special discounts for after-school programs.
🌎
⑦Short-term overseas study program
We offer short-term study abroad programs with a representative accompanying the students to Canada, Singapore, Hawaii, Vietnam, etc. Parents are also welcome to accompany their children, which has been very well received as a program that parents and children can enjoy together.
Three reasons to choose WCES
I was born in Kyoto to a Canadian father and a Japanese mother.
I spent my childhood in Kyoto and attended a Japanese kindergarten, but I received no English education and had no ability to speak, read, or write English.
However, due to my father's work, we began living in Canada from elementary school, and I naturally acquired English, and by the time I reached junior high school, I was as fluent in it as I was in my native language.
In Canada, I became interested in early childhood education and participated in early childhood education program training while I was a student, where I learned about the importance of language education at an early age and how to acquire it.
From my experience in Canada, I realized that even if students can read and write English in Japanese English education, it is difficult for them to actually speak English. I realized that language is not something you learn at a desk, but something you acquire naturally in your daily life.
After that, I became a parent myself, and in order to provide my child with a bilingual education, I created an environment where he was exposed to both English and Japanese in his daily life. My son is now 10 years old and can use both English and Japanese as fluently as his native language. I also set up a new baby's club so that my 1-year-old son can be raised to be bilingual in the same way, and I am currently looking for families who want to join me in becoming bilingual.
I established this school to utilize my experience to help Japanese children grow into international citizens who can play an active role on the global stage. I hope that through the precious time they spend in their childhood, they will be able to use English naturally and one day be able to work as interpreters when they travel abroad with their parents.
We hope that our school can help expand your child's future globally.
