Three reasons to choose WCES
Greetings
I was born in Kyoto to a Canadian father and a Japanese mother.
I spent my childhood in Kyoto and attended a Japanese kindergarten, but I received no English education and had no ability to speak, read, or write English.
However, due to my father's work, we began living in Canada from elementary school, and I naturally acquired English, and by the time I reached junior high school, I was as fluent in it as I was in my native language.
In Canada, I became interested in early childhood education and participated in early childhood education program training while I was a student, where I learned about the importance of language education at an early age and how to acquire it.
From my experience in Canada, I realized that even if students can read and write English in Japanese English education, it is difficult for them to actually speak English. I realized that language is not something you learn at a desk, but something you acquire naturally in your daily life.
After that, I became a parent myself, and in order to provide my child with a bilingual education, I created an environment where he was exposed to both English and Japanese in his daily life. My son is now 10 years old and can use both English and Japanese as fluently as his native language. I also set up a new baby's club so that my 1-year-old son can be raised to be bilingual in the same way, and I am currently looking for families who want to join me in becoming bilingual.
I established this school to utilize my experience to help Japanese children grow into international citizens who can play an active role on the global stage. I hope that through the precious time they spend in their childhood, they will be able to use English naturally and one day be able to work as interpreters when they travel abroad with their parents.
We hope that our school can help expand your child's future globally.
